Dr Tracey Merritt

A true local growing up in Wyreema, wanting to be a vet for as long as she can remember, Tracey graduated from UQ in 2001 and spent the first 10 years of her career enjoying the variety of mixed paractice in Pittsworth. She took a year off in 2004 to travel and spent most of this time working in a mixed practice in Leominster in the UK. Despite finding the farm animal work to be quite rewarding, she moved to open the clinic at Westbrook in 2012 to embark on the new challenge of practice ownership and focus more on small animals. Originally established in partnership, Tracey took over as sole owner in 2017 when business partner Lyn decided on a different path.

Now with a grasp on business ownership, three teenage children, a Cavoodle, three cats, and now a young busy Border Collie, Tracey is kept busy most of the time, utilising any free time to head out bush walking. This hasn't slowed down her passion for learning with her main interest being geriatrics, arthritis, rehab therapy and pain management of our precious companions.
